We all know how complex SEO (search engine optimisation) can be, so we have put together 5 SEO Tips to help you in your business. This is just a quick overview of 5 things that are important in SEO and that can help with your SEO Ranking.

1. Always include a minimum of 300 words per page on your website, Google loves content and pages that don’t include no / hardly any content will rank a lot lower compared to a well content based web page. Also make sure to include relevant keywords for that page throughout the content!

2. For meta descriptions include no more than 156 characters for each page. Google only allows a certain number for meta descriptions and if you include more than 156 characters this area of text will not be visible on Google. If you do go over 156 make sure to keep all important information within the first 156 otherwise your potential customers / clients won’t see it.

3. When choosing keywords for a page try and think as if you were the potential customer or client who is trying to find this particular page of your website. What would they type into search engines to find this?

4. Keywords don’t have to be 1 word, it can be a string of words or sentence that maybe typed into Google to find your page. Even if a potential customer / client types in some keywords from your sentence Google will still pick this up and display your page. Also make sure not to duplicate keywords, this can be classed as spam.

5. Make sure to add alts to all images on your website for accessibility but also you can use this space to include relevant keywords to your image / page. Keep the tag short and specific description.
