We are SO excited to unveil our brand new sister business… Say a huge hello to Savvy Startups! The Littlebigbox team has been sitting on a bit of a secret……
Wow – ten years?! We truly have no idea where the time has gone. When we look back on the day April, our Creative Director, came up with the idea for Littlebigbox, it feels like only yesterday. Yet, as we reflect on the incredible achievements for the business over the past decade, it’s as if Littlebigbox has always been a part of our lives!
It’s something we want to celebrate; to take a moment to throw a spotlight on the events that have made up our first ten years and our plans for the future.
And to anyone reading this who has been a part of this wonderful journey… thank you, thank you and thank you again!
Throughout those ten years, we have worked with over 200 businesses both in the UK and internationally. These businesses have been born from all walks of life, representing a fantastic range of industries… everything from writers to scaffolders, beauty salons to party suppliers!
While the sheer number of businesses we have supported is a huge source of pride for us, the fact that we have been able to build long term relationships with many of them means even more. We have collaborated with businesses throughout different phases of their business, including as they rebrand, pivot their business, scale and broaden their reach and much more. It’s been so exciting to be a part of their business growth.
In addition to our website design and development projects, we have also built our position as an authoritative voice in the website industry; one of our most memorable moments of the past decade was when April was invited to speak at Solent University all about the story of how and why she started the business.
We have also run several Canva based workshops, all with positive feedback and with highly engaged attendees. It’s something we get a real buzz out of, especially when it means bringing together the brilliant creative community in our local network.
Speaking of which, we could not talk about the successes of our first decade without recognising the friendships that have been made throughout that time. Before starting Littlebigbox, the word ‘networking’ would bring us out in a hot rash. We quickly realised that, actually, the benefit of networking really came down to the genuine connections and friends that you could make off the back of it. We feel so lucky to now be a part of a caring and supportive community of fellow business owners – and we cannot wait to get back together with them IRL!
Finally – and most recently – Littlebigbox has its own dedicated space in the world! When April first started the business, she created and developed her empire from her bedroom. Now she owns a home office purely for Littlebigbox. And you’d best bet it’s adorned top to bottom in all the best stationery!
These lessons have helped us strengthen our resilience as a company, as well as our capacity to trust in our decisions and take a few risks.
We asked April what her top 5 lessons from her ten year history with Littlebigbox were.
LOTS of exciting things!
After a difficult year for everyone, we are really looking forward to moving through 2021 with purpose and big changes… the first of which will be going limited as a company!
We are also on the verge launching a brand new service; one that isn’t solely geared towards WordPress users. This new service will enable any business – regardless of their content management system (CMS) – to join the Littlebigbox club and experience a total website revamp. This brand new service for our company will focus on refining and refreshing websites so that business owners can feel truly proud of this highly important representation for them and their brand. More to come on this!
As business grows and our portfolio expands, we also hope to grow the Littlebigbox team. Keep an eye on our social media and newsletter for updates – watch this space.
We really are overjoyed to have hit this point in our business. Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves as that little reminder that yes, it’s actually happened!
And while we have lots and lots of plans for the business, we are also so ready to ride the business waves and see what unexpected opportunities come our way.
